The Club�s creation is the stuff of legends and dreams. In the 1970's, a wealthy English Lord with vision and imagination saw the potential of a beachside resort in Broome.

From the first time Lord McAlpine came to Broome he had his heart set on the magnificent stretch of land bordering the beautiful Cable Beach. After much discussion and deliberation the Lord was able to purchase the land. The contract was signed on the back of a beer coaster in the Pearlers Bar of the Roebuck Bay Hotel. The result was Lord McAlpine's dream finally realised- Cable Beach Club Resort.
